Konti Hydroplast, with registered office in Gevgelija has been operating since 1975. First, it had started with the technology for manufacturing tools and elements from molded plastic.
Since 1990 it has existed as a factory for production of polyethylene pipes with one production line and a total number of 10 employees.
In its current manufacturing program the following products are present: polyethylene hoses and polyethylene pipes with low density (LDPE) and dimensions from 16 mm to 63 mm.
In 1992, the company increased its manufacturing capacity with 2 other production lines, while in 1994 with three production lines. |
The manufacturing program is regularly expanded in regard to the types of products and to the different dimensions.
The development of new classes of polyethylene expands the use of polyethylene pipes for plumbing systems with high pressure. The use of polyethylene of the second generation, such as PE 63 and PE 80 enabled the manufacturing or plumbing pipes for pressure of 16 bars. Thus, the manufacturing was expanded to pipes up to dimensions of 110 mm.
In 1996, we manufactured the first pipes of the third generation – PE 100 material. We also increased the manufacturing of products with the maximum diameter, up to dimension of F 160 mm. This material allowed for use of polyethylene pipes in areas with pressure of up to 32 bars.
It has also started to produce polyethylene pipes for transportation of gas under pressure of 10 bars, as well as pipes for other industries.
In 1998, the company increased the production diameter of pipes up to F 250 mm.
The company had worked for several years on introducing and implementing the system of quality, and finally in 1998 it obtained the ISO 9001 Certificate.
In 1990-2000 the company opened five shops in Skopje, Kavadarci, Bitola, Strumica and Veles. In 2000, it also opened a representative office in Belgrade, Serbia, and in 2001 in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The biggest enlargement of the manufacturing facilities and of the range of products of Konti Hydroplast was achieved in 2001, by purchasing two complete extrusive lines.The first extrusive line expanded the range of plumbing pipes up to F 400 mm.The second extrusive line is intended for production of polyethylene two-layer sewage pipes up to F 315 mm.
In 2001, in addition to the ISO 9001 Certificate for Quality, Konti Hydroplast obtained one more certificate, ISO 14001, certified by the Austrian company OQS.
In 2002, the company expanded the capacity and range of products by additional production line for plumbing and sewage pipes up to F 630 mm.
In 2003, it opened a representative office in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Croatia.
In 2004 a new production line for sewage spiral pipes with diameter up to F 1200 mm was introduced.
In 2006, a new production line for ribbed two-layer pipes with diameter up to F 1200 mm was introduced.
The range of products was increased by the production of multilayer elements for all types of pipes.
In 2008, the company increased its production capacity for ribbed pipes with a new production line, as well as with a new production line for high pressure pipes.
As manufacturer of PE and PP pipes, Konti Hidroplast through the years of experience has deserved the right to be called successful. Our products became synonym for quality, and the certificates for quality on international level that we have, as well as the multiple successfully finished projects are proof of that. We exist on the market for 35 years, and as a company we grew mature with consistency and endurance as our virtue while taking risks which were of key importance for the improvement of our field of expertise.
Currently, there are 150 employees in Konti Hydroplast. It managed to open the doors of the EU markets. This year, the company has started to export its products to Greece and Romania.
